Since qualifying as a family therapist I have worked in the voluntary sector with families and in child and adolescent mental health services in south London and at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.
I provide a safe and confidential space for therapy and counselling for individuals, couples and families with a diverse range of concerns. The decision to come to counselling or therapy is significant and I work sensitively and collaboratively with clients to bring about and support change in their lives.
I have developed specialist interests in issues of race and culture in systemic practice and of mixed heritage families. I have undertaken a research project which explored the extent to which therapists consider the mixed ethnicities of clients and completed my doctorate on cultural heritages of mixed heritage individuals in step families of mixed ethnicities.
I can work with:
- Childrens difficult behaviours
- Bereavement and loss
- Couples therapy
- Separation and divorce
- Depression
- Trauma
- Communication difficulties
- Anxiety
- Parenting
- Relationships
- Stress
